How to Create Desktop Shortcut to Shut Down Computer

You can Create Desktop Shortcut to Shut Down your Computer just in one Click with tuen Off Monitor Software Utility.

Download & Install Turn Off Monitor Application on your Computer.

Launch Turn Off Monitor Setting from your Desktop Shortcut.

Select Create Desktop Shortcut option from Turn Off Monitor Settings Window as displayed in the below Screen Shot.

Another Small window will appear after pressing Create Desktop Shortcut.

Select first option Shut Down Computer from that Window and you can Mark or Unmark Display Confirmation Dialog when Doing Action.

If you Mark Display Confirmation Dialog when Doing Action when you Double Click on Shut Down Computer Shortcut a Small Dialog box will appear that Computer will Shut Down in 15 secs by default it is Marked Display Confirmation Dialog when Doing Action, and if you Unmark Display Confirmation Dialog when Doing Action it will not Show a Dialog box and it will Shut Down your Computer as soon as you Double Click on Shut Down Shortcut.

And below that there is also an option to Add Desktop Right Click Menu of Shut Down Computer.desktop-right-click-menu-to-shutdown-computer

You can Mark Add Desktop Right Click Menu to Add Shut Down Computer on Desktop Right Click menu as displayed in the below Screen Shot.

Now you can Shut Down your Computer easily by Double Clicking on the Desktop Shortcut of Shut Down Computer and by Clicking on the Desktop Right Click Menu.

Lets See how to Create New Scheduled Action to Shut Down the Computer with Easy Shut Down Utility.

Download & Install Easy Shut Down Utility on your Computer.

Launch Easy Shut Down from your Desktop Shortcut.

Another Window will appear on your Screen.

Select the Action from the Window called Shut Down Computer.

And then Configure when to do the Action you can Select

After and Insert Hours or Minutes after how much Hours or Minutes do you want to Shut Down your Computer.

And then press OK to save the Changes to Shut Down the Computer.

You can also Shut Down the Computer at Specific Date for e.g if you want to Shut Down your Computer on 12th Nov at 4:30 pm you can select At from the When to Do Action in Easy Shut Down and Configure the Date and Time when you want to Shut Down your Computer and after press OK to save changes as displayed in the given below Screenshot

You can also Auto Shut Down your Computer by Selecting the Days on which Day do you want to Shut Down the Computer or on which day you want to Skip Auto Shut Down or you can also Shut Down your Computer Automatically by Selecting the Date from which Date do you want to Shut Down the Computer and to which Date do you want your Computer to Shut Down.

For e.g. If you want to Shut Down your Computer from 7th of November to 15th of November at 4:30 pm and want to skip on Sunday and Thursday so you can Select the Range option from When to Do the Action and Configure the from which Date to which Date do you want to Shut Down you Computer.

And in the bottom of that you can also mark the Days on which day do you want to Skip the Auto Shut Down by Marking on the Date Sunday to Saturday as given in the below Screen Shot.

Shut Down your Computer Automatically after selected duration with Turn Off Monitor Utility.

Download & Install Turn Off Monitor Software Utility.

Launch the Turn Off Monitor Settings from your desktop Shortcut.

Go to File and Select Shut Down Timer

A small window will appear Select Shut down (by default it will be selected Shut Down only) from the Application Should and then Configure Computer After i.e. Select the Minutes after how much time do you want to Shut Down your Computer (Minimum Minutes Starts from 1 minute and Maximum Minutes is 120)

And then below that by default Turn Off Monitor now will be Marked if it is Marked when you press OK the Monitor Screen of your Computer will Turn Off Instantly and if you Unmark Turn Off Monitor now then after pressing OK your Computer Screen will not Turn Off. You can Select which ever Suitable for you.

After Configuring the Minutes press OK

And After the Selected time your Computer will be Automatically Shut Down.

Auto Shutdown offers software utilities available for download which can be used to automate computer shutdown. The Auto Shutdown Software Utilities work on Windows Operating System. The Shutdown Software Utilities have been tested on Windows 7, Vista and Windows XP. The Auto Shutdown Software Downloads should work on other Windows Operating System as well, but we have not tested them on other Windows Operating System apart from those mentioned above.

Auto Shutdown of Computer can be useful and helpful whenever you wish to automate computer shutdown. Let’s say you want your computer to shutdown daily at 06:00 PM, then you can just set the required options and your computer would be shutdown at configured time.

In case you do not wish to Automatically Shutdown Computer and wish to Hibernate Computer only, you can do that as well, moreoever you can configure the software to Resume from Hibernate Mode automatically at configured time.
